The Scottish Industrial Railway Centre

The Dunaskin Heritage Centre
Dalmellington Road, Waterside, Patna, Ayrshire KA6 7JF

This place is worth a visit on a sunday afternoon if you are into old steam trains and industrial stuff. They have running steam train ever sunday until September.

Admittedly, I was there for the derelict stuff you arent mean to go into

Damage on the door is 3 I think.

It was a brickworks so I'm guessing thats what it was about. The information signs and boards are still dotted around in the overgrown grass but most are blank or so worn, you can't read them. Don't even know if it was a working museum... there is a conveyor belt and stuff in the main building but even thats been victim to recent roof lead theft

Cheers. Would like to have spent a bit more time down there taking photos but got lost on the way there when I took the wrong roundabout and had to go a mystery tour to reach the place. Suitably scunnered I headed to Ayr market to cheer myself up. I'll definitely go back though.
