No, it brings out too much aggression from you
Smartalex

I've been looking forward to this one.......

So how early are we leaving?

The earlier the better I think so we can have time to do everything, So are we going for the 8.33am train? Because the ferry back for the connecting train is at 7.20pm getting into Glasgow at 9.22pm.

Were only getting around 8 hours there and I don't really want to have to stay overnight due to missed ferries and trains.

What do you think?

Alex.

Holy Isle http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holy_Isle%2C_Firth_of_Clyde...or do you have to be celibate to go there?  I could manage for a day maybe

I spent a week in Arran but, as my son was only 2 at the time, I didn't really get to leave the swing park! I never even as much as got to go for a nice lunch.
monument

I spent a weekend there last October.  I don't remember there being a great deal to do in Brodick, but I am sure we will find something.  There are buses to other places around the island, and they were surprisingly punctual!   However, the other places had even less to do.

I am thinking pub.

Pub sounds good..a bit of walking ..lookin at the water, drink,,walk,,look,,drink....more lookin...
AMcD

Was there on holiday a couple of weeks ago.

There's not a lot to Brodick really, but it does have crazy golf if ye get stuck.

If ye bother with the £5 to get into Brodick Castle gardens, make sure ye take midge repellent, it's fu of the wee basts.

For lunch-time grub, the pier cafe in Lamlash is pretty good, and this place in Brodick is excellent, bar good too! http://thebrodickbar.co.uk/index.htm

The coastal walk up Brodick beach along through the golf course is good for a bit of noising up the gowfers.

there is a Rampant Rabbit advert at the bottom of this thread!

I wonder if it is anything to do with Minxy's post above where she misspells celebrate as celibate.

EDIT: Oops I am an idiot - Minxy used the word celibate on purpose.

Sorry.
Stuball

The Waverley is sailing to Brodick on this day.... incase you all fancy going in style
Smartalex

£22.95 each for the waverley

Departs 10.00am and returns 8.15pm

I'd love to do this but how long would it take to get to Brodick on it?
