Walking in G71

Hi,

I am being advised by Traveline to walk this part of my journey. I was wondering if anyone could please tell me if this route is safe to walk? As Bing maps says it may not have pavements or pedestrian paths.

From the bus stop Baillieston, Opp Loancroft Place on South Scott Street
Walk in a south-easterly direction along South Scott Street
After 60yds, turn right into Muirhead Road
After 250yds, continue into a minor road
After 550yds, continue into Boghall Road
After 300yds, turn left into Daldowie Road
After 130yds, turn right into A74
After 200 yards you have reached your destination.

Thanks!
fastnet

What time are you planning to do this ?

I think you should be safe though...

I would say your going to The Dogs trust and just on a pedantic wee technicality means your never actually in the G71 postcode every part of your journey is covered by G69. I would actually give Boghall Road and Daldowie Road a bit of a wide berth if alone.  Turn left into Baillieston Road after the minor road at the mini roundabout continue to the junction turn right onto A74/Hamilton Road, Add five minutes to the journey but could be a lifetime of misery saved.

Thanks fastnet and cybers.

Well I do need a new mattress, and that looks like the kind of place that I might find oneÖ
