BBC News - Your Photos

Look very similar to me Alan it looks like someone has robbed your photo.
Beano

don't think so, Alan's is a longer exposure and some differences in the  foreground.
Alex Glass

Seems strange that someone took exactly the same shot at roughly the same time. If you think that Alan has croped a shot there isn't that much difference in the foreground and the colours and lighting are almost exactly the same. Do take the point about the different exposure.

me

the one on the bbc site looks as if it was taken at a different angle too.

awesome pics alan
Alex Glass

It is different Me

It just seems very strange that someone has taken almost the exact same photo as Alan.
fastnet

Alex.

If I knew this event was on I would have been standing where Alan was standing as well.

One of the best spots to capture the waterfall.
Alex Glass

So the consensus is I am wrong

Oh well it just looked strange but if you think I am wide of the mark then I just need to accept it.
AlanM

There were about 10,500 folk through this event the chances of someone taking a similar photo are pretty high. The one on the BBC is relatively poor technically.
Stuball

Funnily enough, when I took a long exposure picture of that waterfall in October 2009, I stood in the same spot (during the day)
