West Bothwell Street

Hi all, I'm doing some research on my great granny and granddad.
They lived in West Bothwell street from around 1917-30 when they moved to Ruchill. I know they were poorer than poor so assume the area was mostly slums. Can anyone shed some light on the area at that time?

Also, he was an irish immigrant and lived in Richard Street while my great granny was from Hunter Street. Any info on any of those would also be greatly appreciated.
Ta!
