What's Your Heritage? workshop - 9th February

A blatant copy and paste job for an event i'm helping to organise...

Did you know that 2017 is Scotlandís Year of History, Heritage and Archaeology? I would like to invite you to a workshop to celebrate and discuss the history and heritage of Govanhill and beyond. The event will be held at Govanhill Baths on Thursday, February 9, from 6.30pm-7.45pm

The workshop will give us an opportunity to talk about the places and buildings that are important to us. The ones that make us feel proud, the places and buildings where memories are made.

Weíre looking forward to welcoming a wide variety of people from the area, including the Govanhill Baths Community Trust and Project Glasgow.

The workshop will be facilitated by us with our friends from Historic Environment Scotland, and your role is to give feedback, thoughts and opinions on a variety of interesting topics about heritage, including how it is cared for. Your contribution will be shared with Historic Environment Scotland to inform changes in future policy to help ensure the things that are important to us are recognised and celebrated.

The workshop will last about an hour and a half, including a comfort break with light refreshments, and is suitable for anyone aged 15 or over. There is limited parking available directly outside the venue, with a short stay car park at the nearby Lidl supermarket. Regular bus services connect Victoria Road with the city centre and south side.
