Halfwit ninnies. I 'tweet' as a fictional character from the 19th century (from one of my favourite books)- I only started it to see who would 'follow'- guess what- 'I' have 16 followers.

I have never looked at it. But it has become the international benchmark for vacuity !
There was a report of some half wit updating her twitter while her son was being treated by paramedics.......

Twitter, for me is up there with Bebo, Facebook etc - the internet for people who
dont understand the internet.

Why people wnat to put a whole variety of personal information on some internet
page escapes me. I suppose Twitter isn't the worst for this sort of thing but still.

I've had an account with every "social networking" site* there is and I have still to find one that holds my attention for more than 1 week. I just don't get it.

*The exception is Stumbleupon but I don't class that as social networking in the twit/face/bebo sense.

I got into a lot of trouble for claiming that most social networking sites are for grouping individuals into little compartments by a higher authority.
There has been claims made that the FBI now use facebook profiles in most investigations now as a matter of course...
Seems i might not have been so mad after all but hey ho...

He knows, she know, they know, everything now in one neat little package.

We do the police work so they don't have to ... quite a clever concept when you think about it.

It is a sad day when the news is quoting people from twitter and facebook. Lazy bunch of bastards.

I`ve never signed up to any of the above except for stumble as I see them all as detrimental to whatever the internet was about... there is communication and there is laying your soul bare and posting what you eat ETC.

What gets me is the fuss they make about privacy... Nobody ever said they have to enter the information in the first place

It seems to be the in thing for a lot of politicians here in Australia when making announcements !

Maybe that's telling me something about the mental capacities of elected politicians in Australia or, perhaps more important, the mental capacities of those who elect them !

I like twitter..........Bruuuuuuhahahaha.....
AlanM

I use facebook quite a bit - like Stu says you don't have to put any information in that you don't want to and you don't need to make any of it publicaly visible.

I use it mainly to keep in touch with friends and relatives in far flung places, and having cut out the games it doesn't take that much time any more
