I downloaded some video from my new camera using Windows Moviemaker, than tried to play it.
But now I'm getting a message saying I don't have the codec

Surely if I used Moviemaker to download it I should be able to play and edit it using that ?

I don't think I've ever installed codecs on my computer. I mostly use VLC for video.

K-Lite will probably sort the problem out right enough.

Thanks guys, i'll try that.
I'm just surprised I can download and view the video in Moviemaker while it's downloading, but can't view and edit it on there later.

It's a Sony, MiniDV.
