I know, it's not often I have been able to say that watching something on the telly literally caused my jaw to drop but this did.
It works on two brilliant levels. The first is the plain 'what the heck were they up to?' entertainment level. But secondly for us anoraks, there is the fascinating bit about what really, really was their (non/) thinking process abd the efect they were having on one another at the time - even their body language is fascinating. But the polis wummin did little for the credibility of poliswummin everywhere - at the point after she 'slipped', she actually looked around a bit wane and lost as though saying 'cummoan guys, ah need haunders here!' |
