WW1 Memorial plaques.

Hi Folks i know this is a long shot, but can anyone help with where the ww1 memorial plaque that was in the office of the old Meat market office on Duke Street went when it was closed,or would anyone have a photograph of it, i am also trying to find the ww1 Memorial that was in the now demolished St Thomas Methodist Church that was on the Gallowgate or even a photograph of it. I know both are long shots but as they say if you dont try. Thanks in advance.

When the St.Thomas Church closed circa 1973,I believe most of the Congregation moved to the Methodist Church in Shettleston,2 or 3 miles up the road.If it was a simple timber plaque,it is possible that they took the War Memorial with them.Might be a good idea to get in touch with them.

Hi Cris thanks for your reply,i had known about the Shettleston connection and had emailed them, turns out the wife of the last  St Thomas minister goes there, but she knew nothing about the plaque, one of their other members said if anyone had it Woodlands Church would be the place i emailed them but have had no reply so far.I even tried the Methodist Church head office in Dunblane .
