Enjoy...

100 head bottle filling machine being eased through the old victorian entrance on gallowgate, 1974.

This 100 head bottle filling machine handled up to 24,000 25 fl oz bottles per hour.

This was the new bottling line which was installed in the early 70s at the parkhead site, which at the time was state of the art.

Hi streap, splendid photo...

I worked at that site for over 16 years, i started 2 years after the huge new factory was built, which btw, was constructed over the old one.
Any pics of the new factory being built at that time..?? would love to see them.

Cheers, marty.

What a fantastic photo. I pass there often and didn't even think what would have been on the street front before the new factory was built. Now that it is gone there will have been three different views of that site and it is so good to see one which was there so long ago.

Well done Streapadair
