I've tried them but the joins are always too obvious.
I shall have to study abit on how to do them properly.
Brilliant shots btw guys.
Overlap each frame and the more the better. Keep the camera steady, perhaps along the horizon. And for the more advanced, try metering a couple of the angles and going manual somewhere between the readings. Photoshop CS3 is good for photomerge and will balance the exposure of each shots and blend them together. Just dont forget to 'flatten image' _________________ Now coming at you with 95% more significance, 1% less salt and virtually fat free!
back in 1990 ( beofre all this IT malarkey ) I clambered up to the turret on the Tay House roof above the corner of Bath Street / Newton street and took about 14/15 photos forming a complete panorama of the view.
Once they had been processed at the chemists ( remember that ? ) I painstakingly overlapped them and made a very long thin frame ( which I still have ) The whole thing suffers from 14/15 different automatic exposures and being a big arc - just the problems all this clever software solves - but it wasn't half satisfying at the time !!
All together it probably took a week or two, yesterday's image was finished by the time the kettle had boiled . . . _________________ where there's a will there's a lot of greedy relatives . . .
