Has anyone noticed the old Eglington Street Station recently. They are painting a new "Welcome to Glasgow" mural on the old station wall. It is not quite finished yet but it does look good.

Just wondering how much tax payers money it is costing and how long will it be before the Glesca neds spray over it.

Its an unwritten rule in the graffitti comunity that you dont deface another artists work so by painting a mural that looks nice you dont have to clean off the crap tags left by the not so tallented spray painters.

Just to let folk know, if your seen on or near a railway line then all train drivers have been instructed to report trespassers immediately due to the amount of cable theft thats been going on & the fine is now 1000 if your caught trespassing.

also, the old city union line is still used daily with a minimum of 4 trains a day going over it, though most of them rum late at night or very early in the morning.

I have been trying to get a good set of images to show the new "Welcome to Glasgow" Mural.

Click on image to get to Imgur then select again to get biggest version.

If any of you are on Facebook, I have created a group for the former railway of Glasgow. Would be good if you could post pictures on there as well.

Personally I don't actually get all the fuss thing anyway. Apart from the roof walk your not getting to see anything out of the ordinary unless the old Red Star vaulted chambers is high on the list of things you must see... Not like there is a huge Grahamston down there that a tenner is getting you a wander around. Remember your only getting a view of things you could wander into by accident.
