My first post! :)

Hola. I've lurked a little bit and these forums are pretty cool. These pictures are awesome. I'm a Londoner these days but I was born in Bangour General too and I really want to go and have a look next time I'm visiting. However, I can't find much information on the site as it is today. I'm hoping this little bump might help if anybody knows?

Thanks,
Newbie

It's near Dechmont.. can't miss the entrance. You can park up at it and walk into the grounds

Its in a pretty sad state as the funding for maintaining the grounds and villas is cut back. Security is supposedly getting removed from the site which will be a nightmare due to its location and getting replaced by one of these cheaper mobile maintenance teams. You need to also watch which days you go and pay attention to any signs posted on the gates or within the grounds as it is used by several Police Forces and Fire Services for training purposes ...usually in well taped off areas but the last you want to do is startle a big polis dug
