One time when I was at the Mitchell Library when I was looking at the plans for the hooj flats in Laurieston I discovered that originally there was going to be six of them. The two unbuilt ones were to be built by the railway line nearer the river.

I never made note of the location when I was there.

Interesting wee article in the Record.

Remembering the words and pictures that exposed Glasgow's slums in the 1940s

And here`s a nice little link you`ll find when you go there from just-another 10-a-penny politico opportunist bullsh*tter.

http://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news...arwar-should-never-forget-1815791

Said bullsh*tter done a vanishing act at his surgery before Xmas when a group of constituents turned up looking for help with the Bedroom Tax.  And here`s a video report of the Great No-Show itself on Youtube.

Which is why self-appointed Great Deliverers of Social Housing (who go on to let subsequent generations get evicted cos of Housing Benefit "reforms"), should sod off and leave it to people like us to reflect and reminisce on matters concerning our own cultural heritage and identity.

And not try and "groom" us with Selective Memory Syndrome.
