Would anyone have a picture of St Nicholas's chapel in David St?  I've had a search in the internet but didn't come across anything.   Thanks.

I would hazard a guess that Ben would know the location of anything related to this. It was a wee bit before my time as i only remember the St Thomas;s BB hall and the two schools on David Street oh and the G.E.A.R plot on the west corner of the Gallowgate.

Thanks very much.   It's such a weird looking church.   Catholic churches are usually ornate, inside and out and this looks like an office!

When doing my Family History, I found out my street, Nethan Street used to be Hamilton Street.  It was changed 1932/1933.

thanks fur that... so long gone... this is the wee map with Frazer st.. but not as close to the cemetery gates as I thought..was Croft st.. Arch st..

My first post Sorry for digging up an ancient thread.
The poster Beano pointed out that Slatefield Street was is the wrong place in the above map, I thought so too and from an old map of Gasgow I've taken this image, notice there is a street by the name of 'Glenlyon' - I don't remember this street during the 60's, but I certainly remember Slatefield St, Malvern Pl and Comelypark St (and Comelypark Pl) as in this image.

If anyone wants me to put up other close-up pics from my Glasgow map I will only be too glad to

Glenlyon Street still exists to this day it runs down the side of the baths across the front of the Maisonettes and was a huge car park I am also pretty sure up until around 5 or 6 years ago the street sign was still in situ.
