http://www.urbanglasgow.com/

I have commandeered the Urban Glasgow name on Wetpaint. Wetpaint, as
some of you may know, is similar to Wiki - you add and edit information on
the subjects of your choice.

The idea here is to have the Wetpaint site as an area to upload information and
articles on Glasgow whilst having the forum here separately, with links between
the two. At the moment, I've restricted access to the Wetpaint site to just me, but I can
add trusted members to the editor list. Another forum I post on has its own
Wetpaint site and allows anyone who registers to edit the content. This, however,
leaves it open to abuse, so I don’t want to go down that road.

Please add your thoughts and suggestions on this thread.

Wonderful idea buddy ...
Loving the one about trusted member editors as you say it is open to abuse otherwise...
Takes one person to fall out with someone else then theres anarchy and a mess needing cleaned up over 2 sites...

But anything to spread the word has to be a good idea...

Dont be shy, folks - submit your articles to me if you're unsure how to upload
them and I'll do it for you.

Great idea James.

Could be used for finished articles of any projects or visits on the forum.

With your knowledge of Townhead I am surprised not to see an article about this area of the city and how it has developed over the years.

Need to give some thought on some articles for you to post up

Yes, I will get some up of the areas I know, but I wanted to get some general articles
up first.

"Could be used for finished articles of any projects or visits on the forum." - Absolutely,
that has been one of my motivations for starting it.

James

I found this thread but notice that its 2+ years old.

is the urbanglasgow.com site still available for posting ?

I have a notion to firm up my GSC Tower posts into something a wee bit more substantial i.e. with more supporting text and this looks like a good home for it - I'd appreciate some guidance.

cheers

Yes, but you need to register seperately on it. As cybers said it's become a bit
forgotten about, but it's still there.
