An old photo passed to me.

The Gorbals Water Company were responsible for running the Dams.

This map shows the boundary for the Dams to Darnley Country Park.

Sorry about the quality but it is lost in the scanning process and file reduction.

I used to live at 123 Cleeves Road, but never really explored the area. We really should have a UG tour of Nitshill and surrounding area.

Best, R

Ronnie like your idea of a tour of Nitshill. I am trying to get someone to come over hear to work on a project for Nitshill. He has managed to locate the site of the old Victoria Mine. The location is at Shilton Walkway just up from Linnhead Drive.

A lot has changed in Nitshill in the last 10 years and I am sure there would be lots for people to photograph.

Can I suggest that a mod edits or deletes Alex's post above? I'm sure you will understand why. I have sent him a PM but he might not get it straight away.

I've edited his post.

Alex - if you want to edit it back that's ok, but remember this is an open forum
and the tinterweb is full of nutters. Some of them even post on this forum...

Thank you guys.

If anyone is interested in a tour of Nitshill and the surrounding area I would be happy to select a few interesting places.

Unfortunately there may not be much of the old stuff to see but there is a lot happening.
