PostPosted: Wed Jun 08, 2016 11:34 am    Post subject: Eastern Main street housing build date?  Reply with quote Report this post to Mods

Hi all,
Didn't want to start a new thread for such a specialist query.. Does anyone know when the houses and specifically the flats were built in the Eastern part of Rutherglen Main Street. I mean the flats and houses that come from where the new Lidl is, up towards the ACTUAL Main Street.
I moved back to Rutherglen last year, and now in a flat in Hardie Avenue, just off the Main St and I'm interested as to when it, and the housing nearby was built. It does have a kinda 1930's feel about it.

I have looked online to no avail. Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi Starstorm99, I live in the area and my house was built in 1938, I would imagine all the houses your thinking on were built in the 1930s
Try Burgh House in King st, they should know

I can see a rather obvious issue with Gina joining the masons.. Or the even more secretive Knights of St Columba.
