Gives a whole new meaning to the phrase "I'm coming dear"...

just back from the beardmore memorial.like you i dont know of anyone in dalmuir/clydebank who knows of its existance.i am of a mind to tidy it up a bit on my next visit.glad i went though ,nice run along the canal on the bike and back through the golden jubilee with the clyde looking good in the sunshine.

That would be very kind of you sputnik...I have written to the Clydebank Post this week highlighting the memorial and its siting/condition, in the hope that someone with local government contacts can pick the ball up and run with it...it really should be restored and relocated in a more prominent place. WDC are staging an exhibition in the new Clydebank Museum (formerly the Town Hall & Public Baths) about the First World War commencing in August this year, earlier in the year they advertised in the Post looking for people to lend them contributions/memorabilia for it, seems they have just what would be required under their own noses.

Just met with a reporter from the Clydebank Post...hoping further action will take place :)
