Hi Beano, well here was me thinking they chanced their luck in the burns
One of the members of Glescapals has panned for gold in Leadhills and other locations, found some and it wasnt planted

Sunny in Leadhills, makes a change, we were walking in that area a few weeks ago, chipped it down all day, we are supposed to be in that area on Thursday, depends on the weather
Some of the walking group dont like Leadhills but I do
No many pubs in Scotland will open the pub for us

I have seen the panners in the burns up there loads of times have also seen the big galvy baths competitions too ... seems like a waste of time to me when they should just parp them all in the burn and make it a real competition...

It's not its name .... When we used to go up there with the weans they used to play a game on there and for some reason it was called The Little Pig Bridge, When we are in the area we stop there all the time as it was special to the weans.

Ben I have never seen the trains running ... We were lucky A farmer had just ploo'd (His exact words) the road slightly south of Leadhills right through to Wanlockhead. yet the road was fine 500 yards out of the villages on the down slopes.

Rust in peace, I surprised that is still standing, I first seen it in the early 1970s
