Welcome, Hector. Like you I'd love to see a photo of Jackie Connor's garage, or indeed any photos of the Nitshill area from that era: photos of Nitshill are very rare, and I'm kicking myself for not taking more at the time.
The garage we knew as Jackie Connor's was originally called the Station Garages, and was leased from the Corporation of Glasgow by Colin Logan in the mid-1950s: he also ran the garage which later became Peat Road Motors.
I assume the BP garage Smartalex mentions is the one which used to be on the site of the Benefits Office (about to become the GHA offices), across the road from the old entrance to the Murray Pipeworks. The garage next to the Niaroo started off as Turner's Service Station, and was a Shell-BP concessionary at one time. Jackie Connor's was always Esso.
It was a shame to see Jackie Connor's close down so suddenly: perhaps Unh@ppyb@st@rd knows some detail about this?
Anyway, here's a map of Nitshill from 1973, showing Jackie Connor's, as well as four pubs (of which only one survives), and the recently-demolished Levern Water Hotel.......and if you look closely, you can see the old Police call-box marked as 'PCB':-

i have no idea m8 i was in Manchester for many years before moving back.

I have good idea of the reason, Esso in thier divine wisdom wanted a cut from shop sales sweets, crisps, fags, etc this had been up to licencee before. They had to display Esso products oil, fan belts etc but after that they could sell what they wanted.

For years retailers made little profit from petrol sales as Esso squeezed more from them, often keeping prices inflated often more than local compeditors. Therefore smaller sales. Esso also told garages what wholesaler they had to buy from usually not cheapest so they got squeezed from both ends. I also worked in Ashtree Garage in Pollokshaws also an Esso also gone

Alex...Dalton family rings a bell but most time i usually knew 1st names/ faces I'm also worlds worse at remembering names

If it helps i grew up on Glenmuir Drive left early 70's when old prefabs were knocked down i was about 10/11. I I stayed in Pollokshaws before moving to Darnley in mid 80's. I had other family in area Pollok, Priesthill, Craigbank so was always about area. Once modernisation of Darnley started i moved away hated all the crap & lies that was happening, couldnt get another house so moved to Manchester

Thanks for the info guys! Strange to think they will be building houses there! I wouldn't want to live so close to the railway line tho'
I remember the old manned railway station at Nitshill, it was like an oven in summer and a freezer in winter- Happy Days!
When they demolished the old Jackie Conners garage part of the old White wall to the side at kings bookmakers survived and aslo (i think) the little white wall to the front which was still there in Esso times? Does any of that ring a bell with anyone?
Back in the day, the Lada garage at Peat road motors also had petrol pumps on the forecourt I reckon the must have dissapeared late 70's or early 80's does anyone remember them?

Yes I remember the wall, as it was the 'boundary' between the old co-operative building that George King (G101) bought to turn into a night club.......knocked back!
The areas from the Cavendish that included King's Bookmakers, right up to the boundary wall at the old garage, all belonged to the King Empire, as they would always buy the land never rent on land they did not own.
That is why when some of the Bookmaker sites were sold off, the Nitshill one was the jewel in the crown.
