Since the 'past' pic was taken the memorial has been moved at least twice, I don't know when the first time was but it was moved to a roundabout in the middle of the junction, then last year it was moved to the location in the present pic.

If you look at the Robertson Park pics you can see a young monkey puzzle tree in the old pic and the fully mature version in the present one.
