Fantastic shots David, the colours are so vivid. I went when you could not get on the bank so will need to pay another visit later in the year.

Wandel Bridge Located on the A702, it was in regular use until the 1970s when the road was upgraded and the new bridge in the background was built

Wandel Bridge by Alistair Morrow

Elvanfoot Suspension Bridge The most upstream crossing of the River Clyde, the water in the foreground is the Elvan Water
The bridge was built in the 1920's on the site of a 17th century one which carried the main North-South Road. It has been closed since 2008 due to its unsafe condition
