Hi - this is my first attempt at posting have been a big fan and follower of the site for ages.
Just noticed okaydoak's post re the Annfield Halls and the difference in 609 and maybe 699 for the adddress.
The Post Office Directory of 1861-1862 shows that some of the addresses in the Gallowgate had moved up approximately 100 digits from the 1860-1861 directory so for instance the Camlachie Foundry in 1861 is at 709 Gallowgate but is listed at 817 the following year as are surrounding businesses so they can't have relocated. Seems only to have happened to odd numbers in the street.
Best wishes, Gerry.

Somebody has produced an app for old advertisements on buildings but it's for London GHOST SIGN TOUR.
Anybody with the technical know how to produce a similar app for Glasgow?
