There were reports a few years ago that it had been bought to be converted into office space. Maybe this is happening now.

I was walking my dog down there as I do most nights and I see they are pulling some of it down not but not all off it as I was speaking to one of the demolition operatives

I wonder if they are going to shell the building by knocking down non essential walls and remove what is left of the glass retaining in an effort to tidy it up for the games. Having been in the place I wonder how much endo-skeleton would be needed to actually turn it into a large car park with park and ride options to the city. I admit the lack of an on ramp to the area would hinder any serious travel plans and its location would also rule out investment as luxury shoeboxes for the well heeled but it has to be better than another blank space in an area needing investment surely ?
