Over the past few days I've been travelling all over glasgow and to see how much it has changed 😕 it seems like a bit of character has been taken from the city with some of the iconic blocks now gone, don't get me wrong we live in a changing environment now where it's all energy efficiency this that and the next and a few of these blocks had their time and was best to pull them but when you pass some areas now i.e. Red road, bluevale sighthill and you witness nothing but a big gaping hole you then realise how intimidating those blocks were and now you see what they're being replaced with and you think of the old blocks compared to the new characterless skinny bricked cheap timbered off coloured gray and sandy awkwardly shaped monstrosity that's being built for a "better future" you just know that...yes those blocks had their problems and did their time but in the future when all those blocks have been replaced with those said houses I mentioned earlier one thing they won't have is the character of the old.
