Thanks for taking notice, Alex !

It's amazing that lots of things still look very similar to how I remember them as a ten year old, or less, kid though.

My memories are mainly from the Anderston area between Central Station and Anderston Cross where my Dad's mother lived, 'the Drum' of the late 1950's and of crossing the Cyde on the various ferries to visit my Mum's mother and family in Tewkerhill.

The photograph above of the corner of Hope Street and Argyle Street and two photographs on another part of UG (Black and White) that I browsed earlier (St Vincent Street and Waterloo Street) brought back some very good memories.

Thanks again,
Regards,
Tombro

Hi Tombro,

I have lots of photos of the Anderston area after Central station going back the past 20 years.

I will look out a few things to post and will also send you a link to the relevant sets on my flickr page.

Cheers.

I love shots like that. Nice one.

I too hate crowded streets, has Sauchiehall Street turned into some tramp infested Gaza Strip? It's a total shitehole.

If I ever have to be at the far end of Sauchiehall St I always choose Bath St to take me there.
