I copy and paste the BBcode from the flickr share box, exactly the same as I did for the first pic but only the first one shows.

I use the BBcode as it displays the picture information below eack pic when it appears on the forum.

Tried a picture from a different set and it worked fine so its either flickr at fault or I have applied a setting that I can see no evidence of.

Take the "?zz=1" off after the .jpg Dave ... Flickr are auditing your account to assess its safety value so add this rubbish to stop you sharing till they have it analysed. It is merely an internal address they have but for some reason it leaks to the real world or so they told me. (Stu pointed this out when it happened to me a few years back and I asked Yahoo.

Not exactly the Garden Festival, but this was taken by me, around that time, in August 1988, at the 'Festival of Wheels' at the SECC, taken in the carpark.  Shows an Ecurie Ecosse Bedfork TK/L transporter van; the Moat House Hotel is in the background, under construction.

Scanned from a dusty 35mm negative.  The camera was an old solid brass Russian made Zenit-TTL, it weighed a ton, the light meter built in consisting of a moving pointer visible in the viewfinder, never worked in the time I had it, it always went off the scale when the shutter was partly depressed, I chucked it away only recently owing to mould in the lenses.

Cheers for that Cybers, I have fixed the original post so if the mods want to remove my panic to clean up the thread feel free.

I think Flickr are messing with my account to get me back for cancelling my pro account and having a go at Marissa Mayer for messing it up.

Brilliant set of photos BTJ

we took our two daughters there and we had a great day. There is a video of the Glasgow Garden Festival but the price is a bit much. I almost bought a copy on ebay a couple of years back.

Involved in installation of the Coca Cola Fun Ride, Clydesdale Tower and all of the big statues at the Festival. Dismantled the Fun ride that ended up somewhere in England. We dismantled the Tower, transported it to and re-assembled at Rhyl. The tower isn't operational now but they are keeping it as a landmark

Some photos that I managed to find are on flicker

I was with the the Head of Safety for the Festival enjoying the displays and we were talking about the small number of reportable incidents for the duration of the Festival when the bang went off. Had a meeting with him a couple of days later and he was still in shock at what happened.
He told me that they had a temporary mortuary on site in the event of any fatalities!!
His name oddly enough was Mr. Gardner

Forgot to add our company fabricated the Bells Bridge in Scotstoun and it was transferred by floating crane, Mersey Mamoth, to it's final location. We also fabricated the Canting Basin Bridge, think it was called the British Steel Bridge, that crossed over the entrance to the Pacific Quay. This had to be moved by us at high tide using its flotation chambers and tugs when anything had to go in our out of the basin.
