RADIANCE 07 WALKING TOURS

THESE THREE TOUR ROUTES ARE ENTIRELY FREE AND APPROXIMATELY OF ONE HOUR DURATION. THE DATES AND TIMES OF THE TOURS ARE SHOWN BELOW. EARLY BOOKING IS RECOMMENDED AS NUMBERS WILL BE LIMITED. PLEASE QUOTE THE TOUR NUMBER WHEN BOOKING.

MEDIEVAL GLASGOW WALKING TOUR

This extremely interesting tour, conducted by Katie Dargie and Hugh McBrien, will encompass the Medieval City from Glasgow Cross to the Cathedral, using light projections at various locations along High Street to tell the fascinating story of the early growth of the City.

1 FRIDAY 23rd: 6:30pm until 7:30pm
2 SATURDAY 24th: 5:30pm until 6:30pm
3 7:00pm until 8:00pm.
SUNDAY 25th: No tour



ILLUMINATING GLASGOW’S HERITAGE WALKING TOUR

This excellent tour, conducted by Ronnie Scott, will include the spectacular transformation of the Cathedral, through St Nicholas Gardens to the Pools of Light in Strathclyde University Campus, Rottenrow Gardens and the Triptytch in John Street, culminating across George Square at the Gallery of Modern Art.

4 FRIDAY 23rd: 7:00pm until 8:00pm, on
5 SATURDAY 24th: 5:00pm until 6:00pm
6 SUNDAY 25th: 5:00pm until 6:00pm.



VISUAL ARTS WALKING TOUR

This comprehensive tour, conducted by Street Level Photoworks, includes an incredible variety of festival locations throughout the Merchant City, from the Transparent Room in Trongate, to the light pool in King Street, from the sunset in Osborne Street to the clouds in Saltmarket and the moon in New Street, from Cyclists in Tontine Lane to the Fire Fly in Bell Street.

7 FRIDAY 23rd: 6:30pm until 7:30pm
8 SATURDAY 24th: 6:30pm until 7:30pm
SUNDAY 25th: No tour

Highlights (pun intended) for me were the Cathedral and the Triptych in John Street. The Ramshorn and Rottenrow were pretty good but the Zen Garden and the Light Grass were disappointing.
