James is spot on ..the tunnel exists just next to where Broomhill is marked and the station is the rectangle next to St Rollox works

A pic of a train entering St Rollox in the 1950s...

What a cracking picture!  I took a walk down to Buchanan Tunnel on my way back from work today and got a few pictures.  Please excuse the poor quality but I forgot to take my camera with me and they were taken on the phone.

Old stone steps leading down to the tunnel:

Support for the Queen Street tunnel I assume:

These metal fastenings were on the wall to the side of the steps.  Railing supports perhaps?

There were old sandbags inside the gate to the tunnel and by the looks of things it's been flooded in the past.  I'd love to get along there!

Good pics for a phone katimac, the metal fastenings in the 4th pic are for carrying electric cables or pipes.

First time I went up Canal Street to the M8, along the grass verge and down the hill, but there's a huge fence and I couldn't get in.  Today I went up Calgary Street to the Buchanan View student accomodation and straight in the gate which is lying wide open.  Nobody batted an eyelid.

I didn't check if the gate to the tunnel was locked or not, so I'm going to go back again next week.  It had a bolt on the inside, but I couldn't see a padlock

Good luck.  The lock on the student accomodation gate is broken, so get there fast!
