Aye makes sense James..How many bloody train lines were there in that area ?

From the map you posted earlier, you can see the freight line. It came off the
original Garnkirk and Glasgow Railway which crossed Springburn Road further
south of the line at St Rollox. It also crossed over the Queen St mainline and
connected to the branch at Sighthill.

The picture of the steps leading down to the tunnel is strange... of all the pictures I've seen of the tunnel in use and just shut down, there was no steps. They appear to be fairly recent additions

James..That is why I failed my geography O level...not paying enough attention to detail..Fraid its a habit I still have..cheers

They area had been partially landscaped (filled in) years back.   A girder bridge
carrying Dobbies Loan had been removed after the station was closed.

I was just pointing out that I'd never seen the stairs before and did'nt know they were there after landscaping
