Here here, i've been studying it in detail, it's amazing just how much activity was actualy going on in such a small area.
This is one picture i would pay to have a high res copy of...
Having checked out James photo I think all that remains are the two buildings in the penciled in bit
UNBELIEVABLE..
So much change in such a short time...even the 2nd photo has changed as the brown buildings are no more...anyway off out to the west end for beer..enjoy your weekend
The brown buildings I believe were Peter McCann House. It was accommodation for homeless people unless I'm mistaken. It was demolished not that long ago. Snapped this on the way to work one morning - forgive the quality but it was taken on the iPhone:
Back to topic though, are you still taking a donner down to Buchanan Tunnel tomorrow Kev9?

What amazing pictures!! I'm also very interested to know what lies at the far end of the tunnel. I read somewhere that there's a small brick room at the end of it with daylight above (maybe underneath the rotunda at Sighthill).
Just read every post in this thread to catch up, and finally reached the 6th page
Some VERY interesting pictures here - thanks to those for posting for sharing.
