James.. Have had a good look at your amazing picture from last night..there is one hell of a lot going on in it.Im sure Im not alone in wanting to know some more about the long gone buildings and roads if you have the info .It must have been a bee hive of a place..Thanks in advance..

Here here, i've been studying it in detail, it's amazing just how much activity was actualy going on in such a small area.

This is one picture i would pay to have a high res copy of...

Having checked out James photo I think all that remains are the two buildings in the penciled in bit





UNBELIEVABLE..
So much change in such a short time...even the 2nd photo has changed as the brown buildings are no more...anyway off out to the west end for beer..enjoy your weekend

The brown buildings I believe were Peter McCann House.  It was accommodation for homeless people unless I'm mistaken.  It was demolished not that long ago.  Snapped this on the way to work one morning - forgive the quality but it was taken on the iPhone:

Thats a great photo and will be looked at and discussed in years to come by people that come after us..wonder if anyone else snapped its demolition  ..Aye going on a bit of exploration today..check out the past present section later on

What amazing pictures!!  I'm also very interested to know what lies at the far end of the tunnel.  I read somewhere that there's a small brick room at the end of it with daylight above (maybe underneath the rotunda at Sighthill).
