Not bad but I'd be more interested as to what lies at the far end.
Late 70s early 80s schoolboy myth had it that at the end of the tunnel was a brick wall with a skeleton painted on it. _________________ www.stuartmurray.co.uk
Took a walk down there on my lunch break the other day - pity I never had the camera with me so excuse the crap photography. There's a lot of junk just inside the tunnel
There's a great hunk of concrete or something a way along the tunnel. Doesn't look like it's come from the roof though
Ive walked this tunnel twice over the past two months but only half way inside. I have yet to walk the other half until the point where the tunnel is filled in. Ther is nothing in the holes apart from a few pipes with little oxidation. These holes continue all the way up the tunnel until where I walked it to (half way). There is a lot of junk in the tunnel, especially polystyrene. I have photos that I had taken though I am going back to the tunnel within the next few weeks if and when I get time so I will upload them to my website when I have revisited the tunnel. Not bad pics at all for a phone btw;) You done well!
Thanks Jonathan One question: how come you only walked half the length of the tunnel? Are you planning to walk the full length on your next visit? If so, will you post some pics and details of what you find at the other side? I'm dying to get inside and explore to the far end
I post and give full details of all the photographs I take of these railway / tunnel explorations so therefore I can promise you what you have asked;). I have a few surprises for you tomorrow and next week;)
I'm presuming the padlock has been knocked off the gate for this tunnel? _________________ "No Frills" Airline,,,You cannot board the plane unless you have the exact change
