Was out last night with the new camera, though I'd give it a wee test drive.

A deserted Stables Bar beer garden.

A nearly deserted Stables Bar.

No alcohol was harmed in the making of those images. Well, maybe a little.

The Stables is in that weird no-mans land between Glasgow and about 4 other places so it's filed under "just about Glasgow" in my head. At least you weren't slagging the photos, something positive in this sea of unfounded criticism!

Walks off to trailer in a strop...

Was not taking the piss on the images lol ... Just those fine people of the Bishybriggs are adamant they are not Glasgow and this is about 8 miles further on. and is actually a mile further on than the Welcome to East Dumbartonshire sign

Then it shall be re-named.

From now on I'll refer to the point from Low Moss to Kirky as Glasgowshire.

I went to school in Bishy so I know exactly what you're on about. Having driven a taxi for the past few years it makes me laugh how elastic some peoples' definitions are if they aspire to live there. Clarkston Road in Cathcart doesn't make you a resident of Clarkston!

I've not been in for a while and it seems they've re-invented themselves as this mid-market gastropub. It's not bad to be honest; prices were reasonable, service was fine and the grub was lovely. Much better than it was a few years back.
