The thing that really dates the Photo is the guy in oily overalls. If we were to do past present he would have to be replaced by someone from a call centre or car wash :-)

I will have similar pics of Robertson Street somewhere as I photographed most of the city centre during this period.

I am slowly scanning my way through the negatives which is a real labour of love.

Ah, the Tuxedo Princess, immortalised in an edition of 'Electric Soup' - "Fuckye!!!"

I love shots of Glasgow from the late 80's through the 90's.

Speaking of which there was a book in a charity shop on Dumbarton Rd today called 'Central Glasgow - an Illustrated Architectural Guide'.

Now I just checked Amazon and this book seems to go for a fair amount of cash. HERE

I have no idea how much it was selling for but if anyone is close by get down and have a look, just give me a wee loan of it when you're done :)

That is a must have book LowLight

Wish I was near Dumbarton Road. I tried to get a copy at Christmas and it is ridiculous the price they are asking for it in some places although there was a place in Helensburgh selling it for £5.
