Im not a footy fan, but it would be great to see this happen. Maybe they could come back as a junior team. I thunk thats what clydebank FC done. But others more knowledgable coud put me right.

I'm of the opinion of not throwing the baby out with the bathwater in this thread regarding the original post.
There's a great history of junior football clubs in and around Glasgow and their grounds worth discussing.

However, if anyone strays off topic and descends into a rabble of RFC v's CFC etc. the instigators can expect a swift rebuttal from the Moderators and can expect an instant ban from the forums. You have been forewarned.

Some of those junior clubs are madder than the old firm ... I mind going to an Auchinleck Talbot and and Fauldhouse game it got abandoned
Fans players even officials were into the stooshie ...

Third Lanark revival seems like a good idea but doubt it would work mainly because some things die and enter the realms of extinct for a reason. Whilst it would no doubt have some nostalgic value people would fall away again and we would watch it in its death throes amused at how it was allowed to happen all over again !

I tend to agree. I think Third Lanark have left it too long. If they'd started
back up again a year or two after they folded they might've retained a large
part of their support. You're talking two generations ago now.

Though i do think there is a case of reviving the park as a municipal and place of historic interest. God knows we need more grass roots parks that dont cost yir baws to play on ... everythings about the money whilst the H&S roll in and say its no safe .... Bring back red ash pitches and mitre 5's get rid of these poofy players oot the game
