nice pic Fastnet

I was along there yesterday during my deer-stalking expedition but due to tree fellers operating just west of the bridge I had to take a long detour along Strathclyde Street etc - somewhere I'd never been as it must be the original road to nowhere.

I'll post some other bridge pix i took yesterday

Used to go to a scrappy up there namestain.

Like the pic though.....

The old Cambuslang Road bridge - pedestrian only now - opp. Morrisons

The cambuslang road bridge

and the railway bridge right beside it

ongoing works for the M74 Clyde crossing - which meant another detour - wish my second name was HERAS

bit off more than I could chew with this expedition

left C'lang at noon and reached Central station at 4.45 and had a 35 minute wait for the train back home

spent most of today thawing the old bones out

Nice one Alex, I find the major difference betwen old pics and new ones are that everything is busy, busy, busy in the old ones and nothing seems to be going on in the new pics, well nothing of significance anyway, bring back the old day values and teach our kids a thing or two.

An exact present version of that picture would be interesting and not to difficult to pull off if you talk to the right person in the social building
