Finally found my Henry Gorman Band (HGB) single.

Made by Backshop Records. The band I was with recorded in the Backshop Studio in Pollokshield where this record was recorded.

I missed a couple of minutes at the start and had to jump up to record it.

I also forgot all about this but the Beeb are generally pretty good with replaying stuff on their active website. Unfortunatly Scottish stuff is often overlooked including this, but the article below made for some interesting reading

Thanks for the link Cybers.

If anyone wants a copy with a couple of minutes missing from the start let me know.

From what I saw of it, that's basically the show in text format.

Kelvingrove Bandstand, 1971. I think this was the second "Free Festival" held in Kelvingrove, and I only have the haziest memories of being at the first one in September (I think) 1970, as a wide-eyed 15-year old. This band were called Stallion, but I remember the likes of Northwind, Up, and Eric Cuthbertson playing. This was before Radio Clyde got involved with these events.

Sorry about the quality of this photo, but I couldn't find my original strip of negatives for this, which I'm sure contained another couple of photos of the gig.

Some amount of equipment on stage.

I didn't know it started before Radio Clyde got involved

Thanks Alex, just wish I could find the original negs.

I seem to remember the bands just 'pooled' their gear, so you can imagine the wall of sound created.

I can't remember exactly when Radio Clyde got involved; around the mid-seventies, I think.
