I think this was the second "Free Festival" held in Kelvingrove, and I only have the haziest memories of being at the first one in September (I think) 1970, as a wide-eyed 15-year old. This band were called Stallion, but I remember the likes of Northwind, Up, and Eric Cuthbertson playing. This was before Radio Clyde got involved with these events. Sorry about the quality of this photo, but I couldn't find my original strip of negatives for this, which I'm sure contained another couple of photos of the gig. I seem to remember the bands just 'pooled' their gear, so you can imagine the wall of sound created. I can't remember exactly when Radio Clyde got involved; around the mid-seventies, I think.
