The Lodging House Mission

formerly East Campbell United Presbyterian Church








Built in 1863-4 as the East Campbell United Presbyterian Church by Haig & Low in the Cinquecento style of the Italian School. Cost in 1863 £6,500 to seat 1,400 people.

That is smart but i still maintain the best church that stood in dennistoun was the one they demolished ...
It stood on Armadale Street between Craigpark Drive and Golfhill Drive and was quite an imposing place.
Need to find out if my aunt has any negs of this kicking around as we were always getting photos took in the playground across from it.
