Kev, thats brilliant.

As you said, pretty severe when you look at it now. Imagine the trouble caused playing football on a football park in your lunch-break?  Chaos no doubt.

Also, I had to laugh at the part where its says;

"Tussling, annoying, molesting or interfering with fellow employees"!!! Dont remember any of that kind of thing going on . . . although if they started bagging folk for being annoying, who'd be left to build the ships?

Magic cheers for these

Greenlees Road Going up

Fantastic ! thanks for posting the c'lang pics.

I think the cows are definitely headed for that field at the far end of the picture where I now live in a 90 year old house !

namestain

p.s. can't quite make out the date on the picture - is it 1867 ?

Hi dickyhart, I enjoyed that, a great deal has gone since those days, the industry and bings for example, pity there was no sound.
Thanks for posting the clip

Norrie

I'm afraid i'm an economic exile from the wild west end.

15 years in Cambuslang and never had a pint there yet !

beer at the tennents, fish supper at clarence drive, train at Hyndland and stagger up Greenlees Road ( always avoiding the cows ) - hard to beat it . . .

Hi namestain, I dont drink in the local pubs in Rutherglen but am a member of a club in Melrose av  Rutherglen, so have a pint there more often than not.
Tend to drink more in the house, better, malt whisky,  prices, beer and measures
I have lived in Rutherglen since 1979.

Economic refugee, yes I suppose the prices in the west end can be a WEE bit steep
