There are hundreds of them in almost every community in Glasgow.

They come in many shapes and sizes and have a wide selection of equipment. Most new housing estates large enough are required to have them and the Council has spent the last few years renewing many. The funding for this renewal has come from many sources including Communities Scotland, The GHA and the Council.

It may be difficult to photograph them at this time of year given the current climate regarding people taking photos of children. I have managed to take photos when the parks were empty.

Are there any old or new play areas in your community?

Apart from nearby Bellhouston park, I honestly can't think of any in this area at all...

There is a really nice play park in Overtoun park in Rutherglen I take my son to. Sadly it has just been badly vandalised.

Correct Stu but this one is about to be removed following a fire which has made it unsafe.
