Yes kinda and no.... The embed code given by you tube is in html5 so not flash and should if implemented properly be viewable. The direct link using the sites video tags is a mixture of flash, shockwave and Html5 so its hit or miss at best. i see loads of videos from you tube but its mostly ones embedded by the old schoolers.

Finally upgraded my PC, been a long time coming.

Funny, I have two boots of Windows 7 and one shows the WEI above of 7.4
and the other actually shows it as 7.6 on the hard disc. Weird.

I never use the WEI as a valid rating system for system power and more purely for its ability to run winDOH's.

For ages my twin Sli Gainward 580 gtx Phantom's were rating 5.5 then Microsuss did an update around the summer and they were up at 7.9 strange as the cards are getting older and in my opinion due an upgrade.
SiSoft Sandra is far more reliable.

It was a featured they disabled in Win 8 so I have no idea what mine is now ... but suffice to say it is suitable for my "modest" requirements ...

While we're on the subject of Windows 8.1 (yes, I know, and just you pipe down, cybers <no, I take that back, I might need your help>) - can anyone lend me an 8.1 installation disc, or suggest where I might get one. I have a valid (or so I believe) product activation key, just need the disc.

Situation is, I changed (was going to say upgraded, but . . .) the pc from XP to 8 earlier this year, and like it surprisingly well, so thought I'd move the laptop from Vista to 8 as well. Being a cheapskate I bought a key off the Bay, 25, and used the same Win8 disc. What I didn't realise was the 8 and 8.1 keys are different (the listing said 8.1 so my mistake, can't complain), so I'm left with no active OS on the lappy.

Any ideas?

Microsuss offers 90 day evaluation copies of most of the operating systems it produces last one added to the line up was 8.1 Enterprise. The key may be version specific or may actually be a "Borrowed" MSDN key though best to aim for the same version you put onto the PC.

Edit seems they have moved the goal posts on this now and you can no longer just install a key to activate it now. So all of the above is irrelevant.

Thanks, cybers. It looks too techy-scary for me anyway. Any point in going down this path? -
