The Pier Platform services had their own headcode also, trains to the pier would be:
Via Singer Express 81
Via Yoker Express 82
Via Singer Limited Stop 83
Via Yoker Limited Stop 84
Via Singer Stopping 85
Via Yoker Stopping 86
Empty 89
On the timetables I have the pier service only operated on summer Sundays, and ran from Balloch Pier, reversing at Dumbarton.

To answer the question of why remove OHLE on pier lines, I think there's misunderstanding there. The pier platform line was always wired while the pier remained open. It was only removed when the pier platform line was removed. Pier Platform Services were EMU to the end.

Certainly the OHLE lines would have remained until that section of the line closed i was more questioning the expense of actually electrifying them in the first place as was proven by the lines closure a decade or so later.I suppose one alternative would have been to remove the pier lines earlier and used platform 2 of craigendorn station for access to the pier steamers

It has gone rapidly down hill in the last few years the nightlife is the worst it has ever been. And it was never great to begin with
