Odd question maybe, but I'm stumped. Does anyone know the name of the font here?

It was all over the place on council buildings and shopping centres when I was growing up in the 1970s, but I hardly ever see it now except as a relic.

I've taken to calling it 'Municipal Ubiquitous,' but it must have a real name!

Spooky, I passed a sign in that font the other day and remembered some 60s flats down south near my parents' made in the same style, and had no idea how I would find "that chunky font on a few buildings".

Saved me the hassle, thanks!
