Nope. It's almost as if there's an election due..........


Some SNP arsehead embarrassed himself the other month by suggesting the Glasgow - Edinburgh line should have
double decker trains like they have in Belgium/The Netherlands/Germany etc, thereby showing his total & complete
lack of understanding of basic loading gauge in railway parlance.

Not impossible! Improbable - yes, uncomfortable - definitely!!



The Southern Railway tried this to improve capacity, the passengers hated it, and the time spent on station stops had to be increased as it took the punters longer to board and alight, the two units were withdrawn in 1971.

I was aware of the Class 4DD but can you imagine riding around on that on a pack E&E service lol, bad enough as it is!
