I got the same email from them about 3rd party hosting. Going to have to go through several threads on here now to replace them.

I have not had anything from them about 3rd party hosting, I am getting worried
Do any of you pay for hosting your shots on PB?

I don't but I'm moving all my stuff away from PB.

I've sat tonight and edited every PB image I had in the following threads: the Commonwealth Games; St Enoch Station, Buchanan Street Station; Queen Street Station; Strathclyde Tram; and the SPT Maps.

I've not even thought about the Past/Presents threads, and I've got feckin loads in there.

Pain in the arse.

So you don't pay, perhaps that's whats going on, no more free PB, if that's the case, I don't need to worry, I hope

fcuk Photobucket... Closed my account after getting the dreaded $399 because I have hit my limit e/mail.... I had 36 images on there totalling 49mb.
Sent the usual abusive emails and even called them direct where a very nice girl offered me a premium account for nothing....

I said I would rather have a hand job from Captain Hook.

I used to put my limited amount of stuff on PB, but I find the app on Android almost impossible to navigate these days and whenever I see a photo hosted by PB on a forum, when I click on the photo to view it, some sort of advertising pop up comes in front of the PB screen and I can't get rid of it.

I've also tried Flickr and don't like that on Android either.

Any decent suggestions?

Looks like the poo has hit the fan, photobuckets actions have left thousands of user with gaps in their web site, I know a lot of my stuff has vanished, I am hoping its just a blip as I pay for the use of Photobucket but will not pay $399
So far no answer to my email but at least  I have not had any demand for more money

Vinny (and Norrie), I've used SmugMug for some years now and get on ok with them*. They don't do free accounts, but their basic a/c is $48 a year -

"Unlimited photos
Unlimited HD videos
Safe backup
Privacy & security controls
Stunning themes
Beautiful prints & gifts
Heroic support 365 days/year"

and no problem with 3rd party hosting.

* The one beef I had was when I realised they were selling prints of my photos without even telling me, let alone asking or paying. I only found out when someone complained to me about the non-delivery of prints! However you can disable that feature in your settings - I did that, but then started getting enquiries about how to obtain prints, so I upgraded to a pro a/c, $150 p.a. but get some of it back in sales.

On a side note I have found an old garden festival calendar and checked the garden festival thread too upload it and found quite a few posts are missing in there due to PB.

I did check a few more and there are dead links all over the place...
