I am an old Gorbalite and have enjoyed all the old pictures from the past. Does anyone know if there are any plans of the inside of the old tenements? Single ends? Room and kitchen etc. Would love to get a better appreciation of the square footage of them.

Try going to the Mitchell Library and asking there. I am sure they will have old Planning files.

I would love to see something of that too. I recently drew out a plan of the flat in Govan I stayed in with my mum when I was little.  It was to give my daughter some kind of idea what conditions we lived it, unfortunatley she had a good laugh at my primary school efforts
I will have a look round too for any info on the subject.

Contact some of the Housing Associations, They probably won't have the original drawings of the tenements but when the District Council carried out a survey for modernisation, as is drawings were made by the Architects.

sizes in tenements were all different.. the more affluent ones were much bigger with higher ceilings and better windows etc.. but the one in the peoples palace is smaller than I remember ours in Broad st.. my auntie had a bed recess , fire, table and four chairs, two easy chairs, a sideboard.. cooker , telly, sink and a dressing table  all in the kitchen.. The bedroom was much more upmarket, we had a bed recess, three piece suite , which wss two Sakol wardrobes and dressing table,, a couch that went into a bed. a display cabinet, tiled fireplace.... fancy walllights like the Olympia and stained glass that attached to the windows.. oh aye we were right upmarket... even had a ding dong bell.
