Open day for the TPT out at Beith at the end of March.

Quote:
Open Weekend: Sat 22nd/Sun 23rd of March 2008 (posted 27/01/08)

Beith Transport Museum are pleased to announce we are having an open weekend on the Saturday 22nd and Sunday 23rd of March 2008. Our large collection of vehicles ranging from Buses, trucks and cars to trams and horse drawn vehicles will be on display. Some of our vintage buses will be operating free services.
Anybody wishing to enter a vehicle, or bring a sales stand/stall please contact Kenny Barclay on 07900132543 or k.barclay@tpt-beith.org.uk

We open at 10:00 until 17:00 both days.  We are located on Willowyard Road, which is just off the B777 road between Beith and Glengarnock. There is limited parking available on site, but free buses running from Beith, Glengarnock, Kilbirnie, Johnstone and Kilwinning, so getting to the Museum isn’t a problem! Stagecoach West Scotland services 32, 125 (Sundays Only), 337, X34, X36 and Arriva Scotland West service 18 stop close to the museum.

Free Buses will be operating between 10am and 5pm between the museum and the following points: Johnstone Railway Station (hourly), Kilwinning Railway Station and Dalry (hourly), Kilbirnie and Glengarnock Rail Stn (every 30 minutes) and a Beith Circular (departing Beith Town Centre every 30 minutes). All of these services are free of charge. All railway stations are served by a fast and frequent rail service from Glasgow Central and the Ayrshire Coast operated by First ScotRail. Kilwinning and Johnstone Stations have a 15 minute service, while Glengarnock has a 30 minute service. Check www.firstgroup.com/scotrail for train times. Additional mystery tours will also operate from the Museum over the weekend using a variety of vehicles.

There will be no admission fee to this event.
