Amazing...
What a great set of photo's and glad we got the chance to see them first.
How things have changed in such a short period of time. I have tried to fill in some of the blanks/Misc below if you feel the need to ammend the original post details then delete this as appropriate.
Thanks again to the family for giving us such an opportunity to view these from the first Urban Explorer.

Garthland Or Ingleby Drive I forget which.

This is the OLD Whitehill School Pitch

From the top of Hanson St across the Alexandra Parade

the block of flats looks like those in kilbeg terrace in arden where my auntie and uncle stayed
i may be wrong in this as these type of blocks were possibly built in several areas of glasgow
the balcony was entered from the kitchen

Right here is my question...
I have seen this millions of times (Probably not an exaggeration) and have always wondered why it was there.

Anyone any ideas as to why that cut out is there ?

It was the location (looking south) of the proposed North Eastern junction of the
M8 inner ring road.

It would've looked like this:

This was a sketch of the same location, looking north. This image only shows
(middle left) the Saint Mungos church still in place and Charles Rennie Mackintoshs
Martyrs School building (the red brick building in the original picture on this
thread) gone...

Thankfully, never completed.
